About Gregg<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Gregg Loewen is a technical video consultant and video fidelity educator focused on measurable, standards-based imaging performance for post-production. He is the Founder of the Professional Video Alliance (PVA)<\/strong> and President of Lion Audio Video Consultants Inc.<\/strong>\u00a0See a schedule of Gregg’s upcoming classes<\/a><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

For 25 years<\/strong>, Gregg has helped DITs, colorists, and editors<\/strong> achieve reliable, repeatable image accuracy\u2014supporting color grading and editorial suites<\/strong>, aligning monitoring with standards, and building calibration and evaluation methods that fit real-world post-production workflows<\/strong>. His work emphasizes correct measurement, consistent results across displays, and clear communication between creative intent and technical performance.<\/p>\n

Gregg previously served as a lead consultant and project creator for THX Ltd.<\/strong> through 2017<\/strong>, contributing to initiatives spanning professional and consumer markets. He created the THX Video Standards Program<\/strong> and served as Lead Educator for the THX Video Calibration Program<\/strong>, delivering 60+ classes over 11+ years<\/strong> with multilingual support before founding the PVA.<\/p>\n

He has also served as a CEDIA<\/strong> video consultant, white paper editor, and instructor, and contributed to the design and technical direction of multiple imaging accuracy products and software packages<\/strong> used by video professionals. From 2003\u20132008<\/strong> he was a Datacolor Product Specialist and an ISF (Imaging Science Foundation) Instructor<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In his iColorist courses, Gregg focuses on practical, repeatable calibration fundamentals\u2014how to evaluate a display, verify accuracy, and maintain confidence that what you see on your reference monitor will translate reliably through your pipeline and into final delivery.
